New York City Library Hotel and Central Park Intimate Wedding

We are standing their at the Bethesda Fountain in the middle of Central Park and I couldn't get over how lame the bubble man's bubbles were! Usually they are so big and consume the couple like this wedding. But today this guy was making small bubbles. Then all of a sudden this guy with a head set came over and told the bubble guy to get back to work. Turns out they were filming a mustard commercial! We had wandered onto the set and still in character the actor "acted" the part. but clearly wasn't a real bubble man. I told Fern and Paul not to bother tipping, as the bubbles sucked. But I love telling that story, so New York!

Prior to all that excitement, the couple was married in an intimate ceremon at the The Library Hotel. They offer a lovely location for a daytime intimate wedding or elopement and I am pleased to have photographed several wedding there. The bride got ready in a room there naturally adorned with books! Fern wore a pretzel pendant from Tiffany's to remind her of New York and their wedding. Fern and Paul held their ceremony on the terrace surrounded by family who came in from England and Australia and Rev. Samora Smith officiated.  There was a lunch buffet, cake and a slideshow of the couple.

After photos around town, the couple surprised their family with dinner at Per Se!

This was a Documentary Day collection.
