It was such a pleasure photographing Bron and Rich's elopement at City Hall in New York last October. Mid-week is usually the quietest time there for ceremonies so we were in and out in less than 25 mins! We had ample time to visit the High Line, walk around the West Village and ended-up on the rooftop of Hotel Hugo. The views were amazing and the hotel was kind to let us up there.
It is always a thing to consider photo opportunities when booking a hotel for your elopement. Some have great roof deck views or other interesting lobbies. It will vary of course from hotel to hotel and some forbid professional photography in their common areas. I'd give the hotel a call and ask what their policies are if you are interested in taking photos at the hotel or even using it as a ceremony site, or back-up.
Luckily, Bron and RIch had already made friends with the (I believe) doorman who was kind enough to let us up to the roof. Everything just fell into place on their day, and I wish this adorable couple all the best!
