Al and Maria were married at New York City Hall surrounded by a large group of fun-loving friends. (and one service dog!) Following the ceremony we all walked from City Hall to Police Plaza for photos, and then over the Brooklyn Bridge. Sensing the guests were getting a bit tired, we stopped for treats at One Girl Cookie in DUMBO to refuel. The couple and I went to Brooklyn Bridge Park for some alone time and caught some excellent boat traffic in the East River.
That route is one of my favorites for City Hall Weddings and one can also take a cab over the bridge to save some time or if anyone has mobility concerns. I do love walking the bridge though, especially in nice weather! (But really, it can even be fun in freezing rain with the right couple, as you will see in the next elopement I will post!)
